Scholarly Work
2017 Convergence Conference
Lauren was honored to be accepted into the 2017 Convergence Conference hosted by the Hemispheric Institute for Performance and Politics, which took place this past October in Toronto. While at the conference, Lauren was a member of a workgroup entitled Unsettling Creative Collaboration. As part of this group, she had the opportunity to explore many of her interests, as the group questioned what it means to work creatively with a group of people across language and discipline. This brought together her interests in performing, devising, language, collaboration, and communication, among others. This experience continued to ignite Lauren's passion for academic perspectives on performance that work interdisciplinarily and treat performance as a valid means of research.
